Literature Text

In the midst of the forest, deep green
sits a girl with a most pavid stare
a medallion about her neck with a terrifying glean
to see into worlds only she knows where

But on this most tragic eve
as the dawn, and the dusk, and all trace of light
disappear without reason for leave
and a villainous soul gave all of his might

But the girl said no
and as she gave her last wit
it came apparent the dark was to go
this is the end of the story we knit

To have and to hold with the strongest love
To keep and to care with the finest grace
Considering the following
1) I have not written ANY poetry in ages
2) I have never written a sonnet before this
3) I've never actually written anything with a set rhyme scheme
4) I fail at rhythm

I'd say this is good.
I do hope to improve.
& I may fix this over time.
But I wrote this in Algebra.

I'd agree with you, This is a great poem. (I'm glad sonnets are coming back in style.)
